Access
Systems Consulting is an independent advisor services firm that is
not aligned with any hardware or software applications vendors.
We
don’t impose our culture on your organization – we work within your culture
(and help tweak it to increase overall effectiveness). Culture changes
must be supported from within, but may need some outside nudging to move in the
right direction.

The
roles we can offer to assist in moving your organization in the right direction
inlcude:
Strategist
 |
Assist
senior management on setting your strategic direction and focus. Includes:
where to focus, where to begin, whom to involve, understanding the pitfalls
and largest returns, and recognized good practices.

Needs Analyst
 |
Where
and what is needed? Great for those either beginning an initiative or for
those wanting to jumpstart an existing one. We work with you &
your team to understand what you have and what is needed (gap
analysis). Can include a variety of offerings depending on your needs –
Needs Assessment,
Knowledge audit, Business Process Analysis, process mapping, technology
solution identification & evaluation, disaster recovery and business
continuity assessment, RFP development, and more. We work as a member of your
project team, but we don’t lead your team – you must do that!

Advisor (Sounding Board)
 |
Available
to senior managers as well as team members as an additional resource for
those times when you “just want to talk to someone” without any
commitment or contract. Great for sanity checking and brainstorming. Get
practical answers through e-mail, phone call, or on-site meetings on an as
needed basis.

Benchmarking Facilitator
 |
We will help you identify priority objectives within your
initiative and then arrange to benchmark your organization with others with
similar interests. These have proven to be very popular and lead to on-going
networking with peers in other organizations.

Workshop Educator
 |
Through our growing number of workshops, we come to your
location (off-site locations can also be arranged) for face-to-face
gatherings of senior management or project team members. Workshops range
from ˝ day to 2 days depending on your desires and requirements. To learn

Technology Evaluator
 |
With our strong understanding of existing vendors and
technology offerings – plus our unbiased views – we can help you pick
the right tool for your operation. Expertise in collaboration, content
management, records management, e-mail management, content organization,
compliance management, disaster recovery and business continuity, and other technologies are available to you.

The
underlying point with the range of roles we play is that they can be as short
(or as long) as you want. Unlike larger consulting firms, our goal is not to see
how we can “bill more hours.” In our view, the “bill more hours”
approach hurts our long-term value by hindering our ongoing learning that
results from working with so many other organizations. The more organizations we
work with over time, the greater our knowledge base becomes and the
greater value you have.
